Whitehaven Beach

WHITEHAVEN Beach in the Whitsundays has yet again been voted ‘Best Beach in Australia’ and ‘Best Beach in the South Pacific’ in the TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Awards.

The 7km stretch of white silica sands and crystal clear waters is unsurpassed, taking out the number one spot for the fourth consecutive year in a row.

Voters agreed the beach is not only beautiful, but also a pristine natural landscape, free from crowds and untouched by development.

Hill Inlet

Hill Inlet in the Whitsundays is a stunning inlet located at the northern end of Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island, the largest of the 74 islands in the Whitsundays. As the tide shifts, the white sand and blue hues of the inlet blend seamlessly to create a breathtaking view.

Stand up paddle boarding is not hard to do. It is actually super easy. Compared to most sports, paddle boarding can be learned quickly. Paddle boarding is not only easy, but an excellent full-body workout and gets you outside enjoying Mother Nature.

Whale Season

Sightings of mothers and calves are common in winter; the whales come north for mating season and to give birth, and the warm Whitsunday waters make a great nursery and play room for them as the young learn all the skills they need from their mothers.
Since being hunted to near extinction (in the early sixties numbers dwindled to mere hundreds) experts now estimate the population to have regenerated to over 30,000 individuals – so that means there’s a great chance of spotting one!
